F. Brent Perry Elected by CTF as Chair of the Board of Governors
The Canadian Tax Foundation is pleased to announce the election of F. Brent Perry as the chair of the Board of Governors. He was previously the vice-chair of the Board of Governors and the chair of the Foundation’s Executive Committee.
Brent has been a partner with Felesky Flynn LLP since 1989 and joint managing partner from 2002 to 2009. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2000. His practice covers a broad spectrum of business and personal tax planning, with a particular focus on financings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate and trust structuring, and international tax planning. Brent has authored papers and taught seminars for many groups, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society, the Tax Executives Institute, the Alberta Government, the Estate Planning Council, CCH, Insight, and the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and he has taught accounting as a sessional lecturer at the University of Alberta.
The Canadian Tax Foundation, established in 1945, is an independent tax research and education organization. The Foundation provides a forum for the discussion and analysis of issues in taxation and government finance through its conferences, publications, and research papers.
