HISTORY

Felesky Flynn LLP celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2003.

Ronald Bell, Brian Felesky, Robert Iverach and Joe Struck formed the Firm in 1978, joined shortly thereafter by Gordon Flynn who opened the Edmonton office. The early years of the Firm were defined by a depth of talent and a dedicated focus in Corporate, Resource, and Personal Taxation that remains today.

Brent Perry joined the firm in 1983, and Pat Kirby joined in 1984, bringing additional strength to the Firm’s core capabilities. The Firm continued to attract and develop talented lawyers throughout the 1980’s. In 1991 Ronald Bell, one of the founding members, was appointed a judge of the Tax Court of Canada.

The Firm now includes 15 partners, four counsel (all former partners), two senior commodity tax consultants and 14 associates/consultants in two offices. The Firm provides the full range of tax representation, with significant expertise at provincial, national, and international levels.
