MUTUAL FUND TRUSTS
The Firm advises on all aspects of mutual fund trust structuring and
planning including formation and financing of mutual fund trusts,
conversion of corporate and parternship structures into income fund
structures, mergers of mutual fund trusts and acquisition of property
by mutual fund trusts. We also advise on the impact to mutual fund
trust unitholders, lenders and employees. We also advise on
alternative responses to the October 31, 2006 announcement concerning
the intention of the federal government to tax certain trusts and flow
through entities.
